Our Palo Santo Rope Incense is made from sustainably harvested wood gathered on Ecuador's Pacific coast from fallen trees. Palo Santo has an uplifting woody citrus aroma with underlying notes reminiscent of frankincense, its close relative. The wood has distinct therapeutic benefits that are often used in traditional ethnobotanical medicine of the Andes, like plant medicine ceremonies, to dissolve evil spirits and misfortune. You can burn palo santo rope incense by hanging it, lying it flat on a bed of sand or ash (which allows the entire rope to burn safely and completely), or using a rope incense burner.Â
Each piece of rope burns for approximately 15 minutes while filling your space with the cleansing smoke and scent of Palo Santo.
